I have a good friend of mine Tysha Ampadu, she is a Celebrity Stylist in the past she has worked with Ray J, 36 Mafia, Lyfe Jennings, Lloyd, Lil Mama, and R&B recording Joe, Tristian Wilds, Angel Taylor of Trin-i-tee 5:7, Jordan Sparks and notable Top Model contestant Toccarra Jones. Amongst many others.

And now she has a fabulous online accessories Boutique Called “Chicks Rock Charms.”  You can pop on over and buy bracelets, chains, and even fab  handbags.

Right Now they are having an amazing sale on certain items so I thought I would put up a few of my picks.  I know I’m adding them to my wish list if not to my accessories case.

Color Blocking

So I recently went on a shopping trip with my sister who told me that she will be “Color Blocking” This summer.  I have to be honest I missed this trend but apparently all of the cool kids will be wearing blocks of  solid colors together.

In Order to where the trend properly according to Makeupandbeauty.com’ s article on How to Color Block.

  • Don’t be shy to experiment. Any color combination is fantastic if you can pull it off properly. Blue, green and orange sounds mad but will look oh-so-pretty.
  • Do not combine more than three to four colors. It’s not that it doesn’t look nice, but it looks very ‘ramp’ish. Moreover more colors will keep cutting your body shape here and there making it a not so beautiful sight.
  • Choose what you want to color block and keep the rest of your look simple. For example, if you opt for a colorblocked bag, go easy on the clothes and shoes. You don’t want to look like a Rubik cube, do you??
  • Never ever ever combine two color blocked items.

Wearing Designer Fakes Really is a Crime

The price of fashion or shall I say counterfeit fashion in the streets of NYC has just gotten higher.   According to a new proposal by the New York City Council. It seems that if a person is caught in the City’s Famed China town district buying counterfeit hand bags they may be locked up and thrown in the pokey.

Although I am opposed to this Law I do propose that He be Arrested

Now come on, bad enough you have to resort to buying your goods on the streets is it should this really be a punishable offense?  I mean in this here recession, when people are not only trying to save a buck and earn a living do you think this is an effective use of my tax dollars.

If you want to start arresting people I think you should arrest Louis Vuitton for making hand bags that cost thousands that I can’t at first site tell apart from the  $20 joints that they have down on Canal Street.

Pat Fields for MCM

Pat Fields for MCM

Earlier in the Year when I attended Patricia Fields’ Swimsational Event to celebrate the Premier of “Sex and the City 2” and a job well done for her staff. We did notice that MCM whom we told you was BACK… was a sponsor but we didn’t know that it was a sign of things to come.

Their Spring 2011 collection was made for real women. With the emphasis on flattering lines. And bold colors I’m sure there is something in the collection for every one.
